Strengthening Citizen-centered Public Policy

A one year project supported by POMED: Project on Middle East Democracy (USA based Organization) from Dec 2015- Nov 2016, which aimed to build the institutional capacities of Egyptian think tank organizations to develop policy papers on four public concerns: (1) the quality of education; (2) the shrinking space of civil society in Egypt; (3) local administration / local councils; and (4) health care and the right to good quality health care system.
20 small and medium size think tank organizations have been selected for the capacity development program. The alumni of the training courses are developed policy papers to be presented in public seminars that will be attended by policy-makers, legislators and senior executive officers from the government (on August till the end of October 2016).
